Event Description

Williamson County Parks and Recreation has released its 2017 Summer Activities Guide, full of information on over 250 camps for kids from 3 to 17! Highlights include art, science, Camp Will, technology, theatre, dance, sports and day camps, Boredom Buster trips for ages 6 to 13 and JEAPS (Junior Excursion Adventure Programs) for adventurous 11 to 15 year olds. General Summer Day Camp 2016This is a seven-week program, May 30 to July 28, Monday thru Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (no camp 7/4/15) for children 5 to 12 years of age.
Again this year WCPR will be hosting our Day Camp program at Grassland Elementary School and the Nolensville Recreation Complex.  We are excited to expand our camp 2 additional weeks this year, providing the residents with the best of Summer Camp programming for 9 weeks. 

Kids will be kept busy with indoor and outdoor games, field trips, arts and crafts, and lots more. 

 

Kid’s Art/Science/Technology and Theatre Camps – Specialty Camps are a great way to provide your child with fun and enriching activities that engage their imagination and creativity.  We offer nearly 125 different options for children and teens to be entertained, educated and active.
Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s summer art, science, computer, Legos, Princess, Star Wars Jedi, theatre camps and more for kids.

Rhythm & Spirit Dance, Cheer & Tumbling CampsRegistration now underway for Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s summer

  • BALLERINA PREP CAMP (3 year olds)
    Ballerina Prep Camp is for 3 year olds interested in dance. This class will introduce students to ballet as well as get them acquainted with being in a classroom setting to prepare them for the upcoming year.
  • PRINCESS DANCE CAMP (4 year olds & 5-6 year olds)
    Princess Dance Camp will provide a fun, exciting environment for students to explore their imaginations while dancing. We will dance to popular Disney music while focusing on a different princess each day, play games, and provide snacks and crafts.
  • HIP HOP CAMP (7-13 year olds)
    Hip Hop Camp will focus on fundamentals in the different styles of hip hop including breaking, popping, locking, and waving as well as choreography.
  • JAZZ CAMP (7-13 year olds)
    Jazz Camp will focus on turns, leaps, increasing flexibility, and proper body alignment as well as learning choreography.
  • BALLET CAMP (7-13 year olds)
    Ballet Camp will focus on ballet technique including barre, movement across the floor and combinations. Ballet teaches grace and balance while also strengthening muscles and improving posture.
  • CHEER/TUMBLING CAMP (7-13 year olds)
    Cheer/Tumbling Camp will focus on motions, jumps, cheers and pom dance. This camp will also incorporate basic tumbling to increase strength and balance.

 

JEAPS (Junior Excursion Adventure Programs) and Boredom Busters
JEAPS is for adventurous 11 to 15 year olds.

There are nine trips to choose from, including canoeing, rafting, Soar Adventure Tower, Treetop Adventure, Bell Witch Cave/Cabin, Holiday World amusement park and a beach party at Deer Run Camp.


Boredom Busters are day trips for ages 6-10 or 11-15, including the Huntsville Space Center, Sky Zone, bowling, skating, the Tennessee Aquarium, and Beech Bend Amusement Park.
Registration is open now for JEAPS and Boredom Busters.
