Event Description

What Is It?
3 day of intense, hands-on cookie making and decorating, taught in a fun environment by two seasoned cookie artists. Students will learn kitchen safety, dough & icing making, icing consistencies, and a variety of decorating techniques.

Who Should Come?

All aspiring cookie artists ages 11-15

Registration is $200  and covers all 3 days of instruction, tools, ingredients and informational packets needed to successfully complete the course.

Day 1 – July 11th (9-1)
Kitchen Safety, food safety, dough-making, rolling out dough to proper thickness, proper tools, baking and cooling cookies

Day 2 – July 12th (9-3)
icing 101, filling bags, coloring icing, piping bag instruction
LUNCH
outlining and flooding cookies icing techniques drying discussion

Day 3 – July 13th (9-1)
cookie stenciling, over-piping brushed embroidery, projector use for copying text and images packaging discussion.

About the instructor: Tara Rumpler – Maison de Sucre
Tara has been a cake artist for nearly 20 yrs, and most recently turned her love of art and sugar to cookies. She now specializes in hand painted and custom cookie creations as well as cookie classes for both children and adults.
