Spring Hill High School Senior Tara Crowe Named Aspirations Award Runner-up

Spring Hill High School senior Tara Crowe has been named an Aspirations Award runner-up in the Central and East TN Affiliate of the National Center for Women & IT.ξShe’ll be an honored guest this Saturday, April 16th in Cookeville at the ceremony.

Tara is a top 10 senior, has maintained a 4.0 GPA and scored a 33 ACT. She is dual enrolled at CSCC where she is taking college level introduction to Java. After graduating from high school and college, she hopes to continue her education until she obtains her Ph.D. and hopes to work for Intel or DARPA. Spring Hill High School students have been recognized in 2012, 2013, 2015 and this year.

Aspirations in Computing is a talent development pipeline initiative of the National Center for Women & IT (NCWIT) designed to increase women’s meaningful participation in computing careers by providing encouragement, visibility, community, leadership opportunities, scholarships, and internships to high potential technically inclined young women. Aspirations in Computing is the only national level talent development program for young women in computing and information technology.
