Spring Hill Ranks Among Top 10 Places for Young Families

The ever popular consumer finance site NerdWallet.com has released the third edition of their report, “Best Places for Young Families in Tennessee” and out of 98 places Spring Hill ranked fifth.

NerdWallet analyzed newly released data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey to assess factors like education quality and home affordability, and used Neighborhood Scout’s crime risk score to gauge safety.

Tennessee is a state on the rise. According to the 2015 National Assessment of Educational Progress, public school test scores have improved faster in Tennessee than they have in any other state. Spring Hill received a 9 out of 10 rating from GreatSchools.org. The median home price for Spring Hill in 2014 was $198,200, making homes there generally more expensive than elsewhere in the state.

NerdWallet analyzed 98 places in Tennessee with populations of 5,000 or more. Certain places were excluded due to lack of data points or requirements for residency. Their methodology focused on four factors, such as home affordability, growth and prosperity, family friendliness, and educational quality. This is the second report released on “Best Places for Young Families in Tennessee” from NerdWallet. Below is a link to the complete report, and a link to the last edition for comparison.
